Dewatering discharge permits
We prepare the technical study, test the water and file the NCEC application, so pumped groundwater leaves your site legally.
Request a proposalOverview
Pumped groundwater may not be released untreated into any environmental medium. Sending it to the sea, land or surface water needs an NCEC permit to discharge water, backed by a technical study of the need, the quantity, the quality, the location, sensitive receptors and impacts.
We sample and test the water, write the study, file the application and keep the discharge within its permit conditions.
In brief, from our library
Discharging water into the environment, including the sea, land or ground wells, needs an NCEC permit under the Executive Regulations for the Protection of Aqueous Media from Pollution. The application includes a technical study on the need, quantity, quality, location, sensitive receptors and impacts. NCEC decides within 30 working days of a complete application, and the permit is valid for up to 6 months.Executive Regulations for the Protection of Aqueous Media from Pollution, English edition. An amended Arabic edition exists and prevails.

How we work
Test the water
We sample the groundwater early, because its quality decides the treatment and the route.
Write the study
The study sets out the need, quantity, quality, location, receptors and impacts.
Apply
NCEC decides within 30 working days of a complete application, and may extend this by 10 working days.Aqueous reg. Art. 8, First (2)
