Environmental monitoring
We run the monitoring your permit requires, from dust and noise on construction sites to annual stack tests, and write the reports NCEC expects.
Request a proposalOverview
Most permits come with monitoring conditions: what to measure, where and how often. The results go to NCEC in periodic monitoring reports, which must be prepared by an NCEC licensed provider, with the sampling and measurements also done by a licensed provider.
Our field teams carry out the monitoring and our consultants turn the results into reports that meet NCEC’s guide.
In brief, from our library
Environmental monitoring reports are mandatory where your permit conditions require them, and they cover the period from permit issue to the end of the permit. The frequency is set in the permit, for example quarterly, semi-annual or annual. The report must be prepared by an NCEC licensed provider, with sampling and measurements by an NCEC licensed provider, and the NCEC guide lists 13 required report elements. Monitoring data must be kept for at least 5 years under the Air Quality and Aqueous Media regulations and at least 3 years under the Noise regulation.NCEC guidance manual for the environmental monitoring report (CP-02-M-01-V01)
