Soil, groundwater and seawater testing
We sample soil, groundwater and seawater, have them analysed by licensed laboratories and explain what the results mean for your project.
Request a proposalOverview
Soil and water results decide a lot on a project: whether dewatering water can be discharged, whether soil counts as polluted, and what remediation a site needs. Soil counts as polluted when it exceeds the standards for its grain size and land use.
We plan the sampling, collect the samples to recognised methods and compare the results with the standards that apply.
In brief, from our library
You must inform NCEC as soon as soil pollution is detected, and failing to do so carries 10,000 to 1,000,000 riyals. Soil counts as polluted when it exceeds the Appendix 1 standards for its grain size and land use. A remediation plan prepared by an NCEC licensed service provider must be submitted within 10 working days, and NCEC decides within 10 working days. Starting the clean-up before NCEC approves the plan is itself a violation.Executive Regulation for the Prevention and Remediation of Soil Pollution

When you need it
- You need to discharge dewatering water and must show its quality.Aqueous reg.
- You suspect or have found contaminated soil. NCEC must be told as soon as soil pollution is detected.Soil reg.
- You are buying, selling or closing a site and need its condition on record.
What we deliver

How we work
Plan
Sampling locations and parameters from the site history and the question to answer.
Sample
Collected and preserved to recognised methods.
Analyse
Licensed laboratory analysis.
